I think we all have passed through a stage in life where music helped to link us to our deepest desires: our needs and wants. Our fantasies may have been guided by a great classical piece, country music, rock or the Top Ten. Young people who are attracted to their own gender have done and do this as well. We, again, are not so different in our paths to love. The next time you spot your child, or grandchild listening deeply to a musical piece, tip-toe by, and let them escape for awhile without much interruption.

I grew up with country and western music. My Dad, Elwood Burger, had the Berkshire Mountaineers and my Brother, Kenneth Burger, had the Santa Fe Ramblers. This is the best way to grow up and I still enjoy music and so do my children and grandchildren.

I couldn't agree more with you, Marguerette, it is the best way to grow up. How wonderful that you were surrounded by so many talented folks. I love music. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I must Google those Berkshire Mountaineers! Such a rich history.

AuthorWhen I write lesbian/gay themed stories, I write predominately for people who do not understand our lives. Yes, I am a lesbian. If you do have issues with that, go look in the mirror and point a finger at yourself, not at me. But do take the time to read my writings because I write for you, more than anyone else... to help you see we are more alike than different. Archives
