Author at Oakdale Beach.... a hallowed spot. There are many in and around Hudson, from a long ago melted snowbank, to a hot sidewalk, to winding, and darkened country roads.I write with the deepest respect and honor to all.

Your memories of your feelings about events so long now gone and the sharp focus brought to bear on them by recollection of small details took me back to some similar moments of awakening that I had as a kid in Hudson. Life and Death walking hand in hand up and down the alleys and streets of Hudson.

Thank you for such kind words, 'Mike.' Hudson had it all. It was a true microcosm of the world with such diversity in place and people and their varying cultures. It was a good education via people, action, and place for myself. It made me smile to know my essay may have triggered some of your own memories. Good or bad, they are our matrix.
