Thank you Debi Saunders for sharing your intimate story, photographs, and artwork. You have been in light, then cast to the dark, and are now in light again. A most remarkable story for others to read. Photographs of Debi's family history, and art will follow her essay. ![]() Debi's biological grandmother, Jean with Jean's husband, Ray. Jean was his 2nd wife. Ray was Debi's biological father. Jean never spoke to Debi about Ray, only Frances's sister Sally did so after Frances died. Debi felt Jean, perhaps, swept 'it under the rug and acted like it never happened.' Debi felt only Jean, Ray Sally, and Frances knew the truth. Initially, Sally never knew her sister Frances was pregnant when first sent to California. These are the facts given to Debi by Sally, Frances' sister. No one else has ever offer up any other truths or records.

Please note a correction: Frances died of cancer in September of 1999, not April of 1999.
