My Guest Writer, Victoria Martino, shares this along with her memory of September 11, 2001:
"I am a native New Yorker. I was born in Brooklyn, with my younger years in Queens, but most of my life has been spent living on Long Island. I took college courses in Accounting and Marketing at the State University of New York at Farmingdale. Recently retired, I have finally stopped to smell the proverbial roses.
When Fran asked me to write my feelings on 9/11 I was hesitant because I wasn't sure I could adequately convey them... but sitting down with those days in mind, the words just came flowing."

Frances Drabick shares: "I had no idea that nearly 500 out of the almost 3000 victims of 9/11 lived all over on Victoria's home-area of Long Island, New York. I find that number astounding, along with the fact of profound lost Victoria felt for a friend, and several of her community members who died that day. Please use the above link to learn who these people were in their numerous walks of life."
